For cars with a flexible oil change interval, the VW standard 504 00 applies to all petrol engines until MY 2015, for all diesel engines 507 00. If the cars have a fixed oil change interval, the VW standard 507 00 is prescribed for petrol engines and for diesel engines without DPF 505 01 or for diesel engines with DPF 507 00.
The new VW standards 508 00 and 509 00 apply to all Audis from MY 2016 onwards. The valid standards vary depending on the vehicle and can be taken from the maintenance tables.
Longlife oils for Audi
The newer Audi models are equipped with a Longlife service. This results in longer oil change intervals, which are particularly practical for frequent drivers. The oil does not have to be changed after 15,000 kilometres, but can be driven up to 30,000 kilometres. If you drive an Audi with Longlife service, the board computer calculates the next oil change interval for you. Special engine oils are developed for this technology, which should also be used if possible. The VW standards 504 00, 507 00, 508 00 and 509 00 meet the requirements for Audi models with high-performance engines that support a Longlife service.
