Which transmission oil from ADDINOL is the right one for my VW model?

In the operating instructions of your VW model you will find the regulations for the suitable transmission oil. In case of doubt, the specialist workshop can also help you. Only fill your car with transmission oil that has the necessary clearance.

It always depends on the year of manufacture and the type of transmission (manual or automatic) which transmission oil can be used for your VW. The compatible oils for VW T5, T4, VW Caddy, VW Touran, VW Polo or VW Golf may differ depending on the model. Use our Oilfinder to find out what fits your model.

Transmission oil change at VW

Transmission oil ages and wears just like engine oil. Although the change intervals are longer (80,000 - 120,000 kilometres), the gearbox oil change should not be neglected for frequent drivers or older models. Replacing the gearbox after damage can be expensive.

If you want to change the transmission oil on your VW, you can do this by yourself. In the manual of your car you will find the position of the drain plug of your VW. You can turn these loosely and drain the used oil. Depending on the type of transmission (manual or automatic), the oil change is a complicated process, which also requires a lifting platform.
