GM-LL-A-025 approval for engine oils

The GM-LL-A-025 specification was issued by General Motors and also applies to many Opel models. GM-LL-A-025 refers to gasoline engines for passenger cars up to model year 2011, after which the specification dexos 2 came into effect, which is also backwards compatible with GM-LL-A-025. If your vehicle requires oil with GM-LL-A-025, you can also fill in oil with dexos 2 approval without any problems. The SAE class is in most cases 5w30. However, there are also engine oils with other SAE classes that meet the specifications of GM-LLL-A-025. An HTHS viscosity ≥ 2.9 mPas is prescribed.
