Renault RN0720 approval for engine oils
A specification of the Renault brand that is in great demand is the RN0720 standard. The specification is made for diesel engines with diesel particulate filters. It applies to models produced between 10/2007 and 2018. Alternatively, the ACEA C4 standard can be used. These are low SAPS oils with a sulphated ash content of max. 0.5% and a HTHS viscosity ≥ 3.5 mPas. SAE 5w30 is prescribed as the viscosity class. The specification RN0720 also applies to models of Renault's subsidiaries such as Nissan or Dacia.
