ADDINOL gas engine oils were developed, in order to guarantee maximum efficiency and safe operation for communal heating / power stations. They are based on high-quality mineral oil raffinates, in combination with new additive technology and are specially tailored to the complex requirements of modern gas engines. ADDINOL can offer the right product for every gas type and all operating conditions. ADDINOL gas engine oils are used in biogas plants and in connection with landfill, sewage and colliery gases as well as natural gas. Whether at increased operating temperatures or when subject to impurities - they are specially designed for extreme requirements in gas engines.

Suitable oils for biogas applications

Our gas engine oils MG 40 EXTRA PLUS and MG 40 EXTRA LA are high-performance engine oils developed on the basis of high quality mineral oil raffinates and new additive technologies ideal for the specific requirements of biogas engines. Many CHP units for the generation of electrical energy and heat are operated with special gases such as biogas, mine gas, landfill gas or sewage gas.

In operation, however, these gases bring challenges due to individual, varying gas qualities. They are usually characterised by a load of strong acid-forming substances such as chlorine or sulphur compounds. To ensure reliable lubrication at the highest level, the gas engine oil used must reliably neutralise the acids produced. If it fails at this point it can lead to a total failure of the entire system.

ADDINOL Eco Gas - The No. 1 for natural gas applications

The gas engine oils of the ADDINOL Eco Gas XD series, Eco Gas 500 XD, 4000 XD and 4010 XD, are high-performance oils of the latest generation based on modern, application-oriented additive technologies in combination with high-quality base oils. They have been especially developed for turbo-charged engines operating with natural gas and have a distinct low-ash character. Thanks to an excellent alkaline reserve, the oils can also be used without any problems in operations with cleaned special gases of near-natural gas quality and reliably compensate possible irregularities in the gas quality.

ADDINOL Eco Gas 500 XD in SAE grade 50 possesses highest temperature stability and is optimally equipped for plants achieving higher heat recovery rates. Brand new compressor oil for biogas applications

The freshly developed ADDINOL Compressor Oil RNG 68 consists of synthetic oils on PAO basis and a highly effective additive combination which enable the application in demanding fields of application such as operation with untreated and treated biogas. It offers excellent protection against the corrosive effects. ADDINOL Compressor Oil RNG 68 counteracts an occurring acidification by a very good oxidation resistance and can achieve an extension of the oil operating time compared to conventional compressor oils despite the contamination of the process gas. As a newcomer in the range of ADDINOL compressor oils the compressor oil RNG 68 has excellent foaming and demulsifying capabilities.
