Ceremony to mark ADDINOL’s 90th anniversary – a retrospective

ADDINOL will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2026. To mark the occasion, a ceremony was held on 19 August 2026 at the company’s premises in Leuna. Long-standing business partners, former and current employees, and representatives from the worlds of business and politics were invited.

Managing Director Georg Wildegger opened the event and gave an overview of the company’s history. The focus was on the company’s development from its beginnings in 1936 at the former site in Lützkendorf to its current production site in Leuna, as well as the key milestones in the company’s history.

Over the past 90 years, ADDINOL has navigated various political and economic conditions. On several occasions, the company faced fundamental changes. Through the company’s continued development and the expansion of its business, ADDINOL has been able to steadily strengthen its market position and grow in recent years.

Saxony-Anhalt’s State Secretary for Structural Change and Major Industrial Projects, Dr Jürgen Ude, and Dr Christof Günther, Managing Director of InfraLeuna GmbH, also paid tribute to the company’s development. In their speeches, they particularly emphasised the importance of ADDINOL, as a medium-sized enterprise, for the business location and the region.

Regional commitment

As part of the anniversary celebrations, ADDINOL presented donations of 5,000 € each to four charitable organisations from the region. The recipients were the Naumburg Family Education Centre, the ‘Sachzeugen der chemischen Industrie e.V. (SCI)’ support association, the Caritas advice centre in Weißenfels and TSV Leuna 1919 e.V. With these donations, ADDINOL is continuing its regional commitment and supporting projects and organisations in the vicinity of its site.

Following the official ceremony, a meal provided an opportunity for staff, partners and guests to socialise. ADDINOL would like to thank all guests, staff and speakers for attending the anniversary event and for their long-standing collaboration.
