Product description
ADDINOL Hydrodynamic transmission oil SGL 18 S is based on highly ageing-resistant synthetic base oil and a special additivation providing excellent protection against wear.
APPLICATION
• Highly suitable for the application in most modern and efficient hydrodynamic transmissions.
• Useable for fluid transmissions and control valves in locomotives, fork lift trucks or other vehicles.
• Medium for the load transmission in stationary aggregates.
• Can be used in special hydraulic systems, fluid clutches and torque converters according to instructions of equipment manufacturers.
PLEASE NOTE
The manufacturers of hydrodynamic converters of diesel hydraulic locomotives mainly require the use of engine oils. Depending on manufacturer’s specification ADDINOL Marine MS 4011 can be used.
Please follow information and specifications of equipment manufactures! If you have any further questions do not hesitate to contact our experts for technical application.
CHARACTERISTICS
• Highest scuffing load capacity, best wear protection and very high micro-pitting resistance
• High oxidation, temperature and ageing stability
• Excellent foam inhibition
• Very good protection of steels and non-ferrous metals
• Especially developed for difficult climatic conditions
ADVANTAGES AND BENEFITS
• Lowest mechanical stress in spite of high loads, no premature fatigue of friction pairings
• Longest lifetime of machine components, reduces operating costs
• Trouble-free operation also in case of splash effects caused by unfavourable flow conditions
• Long oil service life even at highest loads
• Reliable protection of machine components against rust and discolouration
• Extended range of use from -40°C up to +120°C (temperature peaks up to +150°C)
